Okay, today is the 10th, but I reckon it’s not too late to point out another significance of 09/09/09 – it’s the release date of Stone’s Vertical Epic beer! Every year starting with 02/02/02, Stone Brewing Company releases a new beer in their Vertical Epic series. A vertical, in case you’re not aware, is a tasting of multiples vintages of wine/beer/whatever. Stone’s Vertical Epic will go through 12/12/12. If you’re just learning of this and you’re a beer fan, it’s not too late to start! Pick up a bottle of the 09/09/09 to cellar and another to drink now! This year’s beer is a Belgian Strong Dark Ale.
