Creigh “Dirty” Deeds Takes Dem’s Top Spot for Wouldbe Governor, Dems Wallow in Disappointment

As few as 2% (two) percent of Virginia’s 5 million registered voters turned out to choose who would be the spendocrats’ top cash grabber yesterday (some counties with Republican primaries garnered 13%.)

Riley at Virginia Virtucon said it best, “While a Brian Moran – Mike Signer ticket would have been a gift from heaven for the GOP, there was never any realistic chance of that happening.  But a Deeds – Wagner ticket is almost as good.”

Deeds won with under 50% of the vote depending on what news source you read (some put him just over 50), beating a millionaire Clintonite carpetbagger Terry McAuliffe and seasoned spendocrat Brian Moran each with about half of the remaining half in most counties.

Check out the rest of his take at the above link, or by reading Virginia Virtucon’s many posts on the subject including our own DJ McGuire’s insightful analysis of why Creigh Deeds’ uber liberal, tax hiking mantra makes him the only gubernatorial candidate that makes Bob McDonnell’s 2007-2008 HB3202 support appear to have been right!

Even the liberal spenders at Fake Virginia acknowledge that Deeds has an unpopular stand with a lot of Democrats, “I am experienced to know that a few of you will be so disheartened, you won’t be able to support Sen. Deeds in the fall.  That’s O.K. In my view, that doesn’t mean you’re a bad Democrat. Most of you have serious and honest policy disagreements with Mr. Deeds.”

In Stafford, Dan Smolen said in his recap, “For those of us who supported Brian or Terry McAuliffe there is no time to wallow or be disappointed with today’s result.”

Wallowing in disappointment is the thinking-class of Americans right now with the lack of leadership being found in Washington, DC and Richmond and their cash giveaways to their friends.  $4 Trillion dollars of spending (not investing or loaning), Democrats??? Really- that’s a good idea for our children’s generation??

… And you want to bring that to Virginia in November??

Disenfranchised dilusional Democrats and fired-up Republicans will hit the polls November 3, 2009 to decide our next four-year course, let’s hope we can afford it!
