William Seward Lives!

By From http://fred2blue.wordpress.com • Nov 18th, 2008 • Category: Blog Entries.Local

With the talk of Hillary Clinton possibly becoming the next Secreatry of State, you can’t help but think of Abraham Lincoln’s recently dubbed Team of Rivals. William H. Seward, a Senator from New York, was the frontrunner for his party’s presidential nomination in 1860. Instead, that honor went to a guy who’d only served in Congress for a few […]

Palin Taught Them Nothing (Woo-Hoo!)

By From http://fred2blue.wordpress.com • Nov 15th, 2008 • Category: Blog Entries.Local

The good news for the Democrats just keeps on coming. And that is the fact that the Sarah Palin debacle hasn’t taught the GOP anything. Despite being a drag on the ticket and driving female voters to Obama/Biden in droves, she’s far and away the most popular figure among Republcans right now.
Newsflash: Voters care about issues. Women will […]

McAuliffe Is In. Joy.

By From http://fred2blue.wordpress.com • Nov 11th, 2008 • Category: Blog Entries.Local

Here’s Terry McAuliffe, literally being laughed at on Hardball because he’s mindlessly reciting talking points without listening to what Chris Matthews is actually saying.

And Then There Were Five….

The Governor, both United States Senators, the State Senate, and now Virginia’s delegation in the House of Representatives.
A couple days ago Virginia had 8 Republicans members of the House to only 3 Democrats. Now, Gerry Connolly, Glenn Nye, and Tom Perriello join Bobby Scott, Jim Moran, and Rick Boucher to give the Dems a 6-5 edge.

Unforgivable

Newsweek:
The Obama campaign was provided with reports from the Secret Service showing a sharp and disturbing increase in threats to Obama in September and early October, at the same time that many crowds at Palin rallies became more frenzied. Michelle Obama was shaken by the vituperative crowds and the hot rhetoric from the GOP candidates. […]
