By From http://fred2blue.wordpress.com • Nov 6th, 2008 • Category: Blog Entries.Local

The Baltimore Sun covers the extraordinary efforts of the Obama campaign to flush Stafford County with scores of volunteers.
And the article points out the astonishing turn of events:  Kerry in Stafford (2004):  37% of the vote; Obama in Stafford (2008): almost 47% of the vote.
Congratulations to Stafford Dems and Chair Marc Broklawski for being recognized.  Broklawski, said […]

F2B Poll: What Should The Senate Majority Do About Joe Lieberman?

By From http://fred2blue.wordpress.com • Nov 5th, 2008 • Category: Blog Entries.Local

As a new Senator, Barack Obama was mentored by Sen. Joe Lieberman. In 2006, the freshman Senator returned the favor by campaigning for Lieberman in Connecticut’s Democratic Primary for the U.S. Senate.
And we all know how that favor was returned…
As a result of yesterday’s general election, and depending upon the outcomes of the Senate races in Minnesota […]

By From http://fred2blue.wordpress.com • Nov 5th, 2008 • Category: Blog Entries.Local

A civil war that, in many ways, began at Bull Run, Virginia, on July […]

My 89,999 friends and I attended last night’s final Obama campaign stop, fittingly held in Manassas, Va. Sen. Obama launched his general election campaign in the Commonwealth.

Despite being front-row center, I had camera problems so I wasn’t able to get good close ups, but here’s a crowd shot:

And here’s the speech h/t […]

Yeah, and the Guy Who Sold Me My Car Looks Just Like Mitt Romney!

Everyday is a hard news day at the FL-S, don’t ya know.
Accompanying the saturation coverage of Sarah Palin’s Real America Tour visit to Herkamp Park (a venue you’d think from the reporting has more people in it today than Yasgur’s Farm in the Summer of ‘69) comes this delightful FL-S featurette about the Stafford County Republican who looks just […]

What Happened to the FXBG Farmers Market?

By From http://fred2blue.wordpress.com • Oct 27th, 2008 • Category: Blog Entries.Local

Apparently, it has been whisked away to stage Herkamp Park for today’s noontime visit of Gov. Sarah Palin.
The Farmer’s Market is a Fredericksburg institution, offering excellent quality produce to area residents and restaurateurs.
Family farmers rely on this popular venue for their livelihood.  Certainly, they lost their income this weekend so that Sarah could make her photo-op appearance, today.
So […]
