New Beers This Week

By From http://kybecca.blogspot.com/ • Dec 11th, 2008 • Category: Blog Entries.Local

A couple of new beers recently arrived for those of you always looking for something new to try. First up is a beer new to Virginia from Southern Tier brewery in New York. It’s called Choklat and it’s a stout brewed with, you guessed it, chocolate. But it’s not just any chocolate stout. Click here to see what people on beeradvocate.com have been saying about it. Apparently (I say that because I haven’t had a chance to taste it yet) it’s one of the best chocolate stouts you can get.

Next up is another once-per-year release from Dogfish Head, the Olde School Barleywine. A barleywine is a type of strong malty ale. The style is British in origin, but the American versions are different enough to warrant their own style. True to Dogfish Head form, this one is particularly strong, with an abv of a whopping 15%. Tastes good now, but of course you can age these for years.

Both of these are in very limited quantity so I can’t guarantee how long they’ll be available.

Did You Know We’ll Ship Wine to DC and VA For Free?

By From http://kybecca.blogspot.com/ • Dec 2nd, 2008 • Category: Blog Entries.Local

If you buy wine from our website and your order is $150 or more, your shipping is free if you’re shipping to other parts of Virginia or DC. As anybody who may have bought wine online before know, wine shipping costs can be high because wine is heavy. If you have relatives or friends elsewhere in Virginia or in DC we can ship the wine directly to them, you don’t have to do anything! We’ll even include a card with a message if you like. Send somebody a case of The Prisoner (15% off too!), a bottle of Cristal, or whatever else from your computer.

For smaller orders our shipping prices are modest – no extra charges for packaging or handling, just the UPS rate.
