Saving The Original Floor

By From http://kybecca.blogspot.com/ • Sep 17th, 2008 • Category: Blog Entries.Local

This old floor that will now be supporting our wine bar has seen many business over its 100+ years. As a result the floor was in terrible shape. We agonized over saving it because of the tremendous amount of effort needed to do so. In the end decided to go ahead with salvaging it because of the warmth and one of a kind look it will add to the wine bar.

Who Is The Best Wine Writer in the US?

By From http://kybecca.blogspot.com/ • Aug 22nd, 2008 • Category: Blog Entries.Local

My pick hands down would be Eric Asimov from the NY Times.
Not only is his writing clear and concise but he always manages to get the story behind the wines. His articles are always a mix of people, place and how the wines taste. He includes the food editor and local sommelier to conduct tastings and the web interactive feature offered online with the articles are just stellar.

Crisp, Refreshing and Greek is his latest. kybecca happens to have his top pick as well.
