Happy Umbrella Day!

By From http://sarahiouslyspeaking.com • Feb 10th, 2009 • Category: Blog Entries.Local

A day dedicated to one of the greatest inventions of all time.  But, somehow I always manage to be without my umbrella on a rainy day.  I have them stashed everywhere, yet, I can never find one.

Here are some tips to remember when you are starting the Short Sale process and interviewing potential Listing Agents.
1.  Your first step if you are facing a possible Short Sale on your home is to contact The Homeownership Preservation Foundation.  This is a non-profit organization set up to help families facing foreclosures.  Their hotline is open […]

I am proud to be an alumna of Alpha Phi Fraternity which has promoted awareness for Cardiac Care and Research since 1946.  Being a part of an organization that has raised more than $1 million toward this cause has been a lifestyle changing experience for me.  Heart Disease is the leading cause of death for women in the United States.  One in four women […]

Better Deal: Short Sale or Foreclosure?

By From http://sarahiouslyspeaking.com • Feb 5th, 2009 • Category: Blog Entries.Local

I was asked a question today, while showing houses, that I get asked frequently, “What’s the better deal, a short sale or a foreclosure?”  For the first time, I paused before answering.  My answer used to be that buying a foreclosure was definitely a better deal; and for the most part I still thinks this is true.  […]

Happy Weatherperson’s Day!

By From http://sarahiouslyspeaking.com • Feb 5th, 2009 • Category: Blog Entries.Local

Oh what would we do without our weatherpersons?  Funny thing about Fredericksburg area weather is that it’s not actually for Fredericksburg.  We either get Sterling, Virginia weather forecasts, Richmond, Virginia forecasts, or Washington, DC weather forecasts.  So, if a Fredericksburgian (did I just make up a word?) never looks prepared for the weather, there’s a […]

Happy Stuffed Mushroom Day!

By From http://sarahiouslyspeaking.com • Feb 4th, 2009 • Category: Blog Entries.Local

Mmmmmm!!!  Stuffed Mushrooms!  In my humble opinion the best stuffed mushrooms in Fredericksburg can be found at Old Towne Steak and Seafood.  But just becuase there’s a mushroom involved doesn’t mean it’s healthy!  These mushrooms are stuffed with crab, covered in gooey cheese, and swimming in a butter sauce.  To-DIE-FOR!

Happy National Carrot Day!

One of my most favorite people @KimWood has been requesting a vegetable holiday for quite some time.  I have not been able to find one until today.  But February 3 is National Carrot Day!  Carrots are a great vegetable!  They are more nutritious when eaten cooked than raw.  Carrots are also extremely filling and are […]
