The future of independent film seems secure. True, independent film has its own following but more and more Indi movies are making their way to mainstream.

Last week, an Indie stirred good buzz at the Golden Globes. Natalie Portman’s performance in Black Swan earned her a Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture. This week, Entertainment Weekly posted their 10 Movies That Changed Hollywood list featuring two Indies: Clerks and The Blair Witch Project. Both movies brought a breath of fresh air.
